THE OPERA
On its brand new 2024 release "La Croce di Giulia" is a Sacred Oratory for solo voices, chorus, organ, narrator and orchestra.
The opera, dedicated to Saint Julia represents in prose and music the narration of his martyrdom.
In 2017, in its first version, the opera with the music of the M° PandolfoPaolo and with the libretto written by Prof. Giovanni Ponchio, was awarded the first prize at the third edition of the NATIONAL COMPETITION OF COMPOSITION OF SACRED MUSIC SANTA GIULIA in Livorno.
After seven years, the composer decided to refine and complete the work by revising the orchestration and including the Symphonic Interlude, thus leaving a space specifically dedicated to enhance the performance of the orchestra.
La Croce di Giulia - has been recorded along the live concert on June 25th 2024 at Our Lady of Health Sanctuary of Monteortone - Abano Terme (Italy)
